World Biennials of Art Bookbinding

Art Bookbinding international contest

Art bookbinding international contest has been existing for 30 years. It clearly is the oldest international bookbinding contest. This event is a must for professionals and a challenge for amateur bookbinders.

For the year 2021 we have chosen to lead you into the wonderful world of an African reservation ; so you can share this incredible affectionate bond between a 10 year old girl and a lion she took in and cared  for when he was a baby.

It’s a Joseph Kessel novel, written in 1958, at the age of 60.

For this 16th edition of the Biennials we remained faithful to our printer with an edition limited to 600 copies, all numbered and printed on 160gr Arches Vellum paper.

We contacted Carol Richard, illustrator, to illustrate this superb publication with 6 original etchings and one frontpage. These will bring added value to the book.

Registration procedures for the competition have not changed. You will find here a registration form to fill in.
